While the shooting season for Open Air session is now officially closed at Kidi Photography by Ella and Spring will mark opening for new sessions in 2020, I still work through editing Autumn family photo shoots to present the very last of the galleries to my lovely clients. I always enjoy photographing Open Air sessions, I’m in my happy place when I’m outdoors with my camera, but this session was particularly enjoyable. It was certainly not one of those nice warm Autumn days, especially when it started to rain, but parents had such a positive attitude and great sense of humour we just rolled on with it venturing deeper into the Wolverhampton woods.
I guess this is what family photography is truly about. Just being yourself and have it beautifully preserved in candid photographs. I’ve been working as an outdoor photographer in Walsall and Birmingham for over … years, and I can tell you no posing can match free joyful movement. The photographs spark that authentic joy and represent a true reflection of the family.
After all, once your session is over and you get to view your photographs you want to be blown away. And it’s not in that tight posing, or photographer’s retouching skills, the whole beauty is right there in your real interactions, in your kids authentic smile, in that specific way your partner holds you making you feel like there’s no way in the world someone could be loved more.
This is what makes you want to proudly display your photographs. You don’t want to lock them in the drawer, but have them right in the centre of your home’s heart. To look at them every single day and be reminded of the incredible blessing your sweet family is.
Although, we don’t take bookings for Winter, it’s an ideal moment to start planning and preparations for next year’s sessions.
